Umbria “Green Heart of Italy”, a crossroads between North and South, between the Adriatic and Tyrrhenian Seas, is a land where wine has been grown since Etruscan times. To say Orvieto means to speak of the splendid walled city, built on a tuff base by the Etruscans and which became Roman as Urbs Vetus (old city), but also of the prestigious Umbrian white wine of which Bigi has been one of the most prestigious producers for years.
