The Aperol Spritz is the undisputed king of the Italian aperitif, famous for its sweet-bitter taste and bright orange color. The original Aperol recipe follows the very famous 3-2-1 rule approved by the IBA (International Bartenders Association).

The Ingredients (3-2-1 ratio): 3 parts Prosecco DOC (about 90 ml), 2 parts Aperol (about 60 ml), 1 part Soda or very sparkling water (about 30 ml), Diced ice, 1 slice of fresh orange.

What to match it with? The Aperol Spritz pairs perfectly with classic aperitif snacks:

Savory: Chips, peanuts, and giant green olives.
Cutting boards: Raw Parma ham, salami, Parmigiano Reggiano, and hot focaccia.
Finger food: Venetian cicchetti or tomato and basil bruschetta.

Ingredients:

Aperol is obtained by maceration of bitter orange peel, gentian, rhubarb and other spices in alcohol, the alcohol content is 11%, therefore slightly lower than the average of the wine.
