Frangelico liquore italiano a base di nocciole con distillati di semi di cacao vaniglia e caffè, bottiglie di vetro, 700ml (70cl).
Frangelico is a liqueur produced in Piedmont. Its recipe, 300 years old, dates back to the Christian monks who ruled that area. Frangelico has created a perfect distillate that exalts the autochthonous ingredients of the Langhe territory. Their knowledge of food and drink probably also included the art of distillation and especially the use of wild hazelnuts and other local ingredients to create a liqueur that is now the basis of Frangelico.
The aromatic base of the liqueur is given by Nocciola Tonda Gentile, a prized variety typical of Piedmont. Production involves specific phases:
Roasting and distillation: Hazelnuts are roasted, chopped, and steeped in a mixture of alcohol and water before being distilled.
Flavoring: Natural extracts of cocoa, coffee and vanilla are combined with the hazelnut distillate.
Final mix: The extract is combined with pure alcohol, sugar and water to achieve the perfect balance.
Visual examination: light amber color with golden reflections.
Olfactory notes: intense aroma of toasted hazelnut, accompanied by shades of chocolate and vanilla.
Taste: soft, sweet and velvety on the palate.
You can enjoy Frangelico in several ways: neat or on the rocks as the perfect end meal, stretched with soda, or as an ingredient to enrich your coffee. It is also a highly appreciated element in mixology for the preparation of complex cocktails such as the Frangelico Sour.
