Puglia boasts an extraordinary variety of food and wine and artisanal excellence, many of which are protected by the DOP and PGI brands. The most famous Apulian products include Extra Virgin Olive Oil (Apulia is the first producing region in Italy), fresh cheeses such as Burrata di Andria PGI and iconic baked goods such as Pane di Altamura DOP and Taralli.
