Piccini's Chianti Riserva ‘Gold Collection’ combines local tradition, using Sangiovese grapes, with international push, using a small balance of Cabernet. This elegant wine matures partly in old barrels and partly in new barrels, to combine softness and intensity in the same wine. In addition to intriguing hints of red fruit, the nose shows evident hints of roasting and vanilla, delicate, identifying the wooden passage. On the palate it is generous, velvety, with soft tannins that support a rich structure.

Main vine: Sangiovese 90%, Cabernet Sauvignon 10%.

Powerful aromas of red cherry, wild berry and spice. There’s a subtle green note of cut grass and the wine is compact and firm in the mouth.
Pairings: Perfect with first courses in meat sauce, light roasts and medium-aged cheeses.
