Honeydew melon (or winter melon) is a variety of Cucumis melo prized for its pale green, sweet, and refreshing flesh. Unlike cantaloupe, it has a smooth, waxy skin that turns from white-green to light yellow when ripe. 
It has a delicate, sugary and slightly earthy taste. The pulp typically remains firm and crisp even when fully ripe.
