Banfi Brunello di Montalcino DOCG is one of the most famous and appreciated Italian red wines in the world, known for combining the rich Tuscan tradition with a modern, elegant and accessible style from a young age. Produced by the historic Castello Banfi winery in Montalcino, this wine is made from 100% Sangiovese grapes (selected from clones specifically designed by the company) and represents a point of reference for its consistent quality.

GRAPE VARIETY: Sangiovese.

WINEMAKING: 80% in 60 and 90 hl French oak barrels and 20% in 350 l French oak barriques for a minimum of 2 years.

Color: Intense and bright ruby red, which evolves towards garnet reflections with aging.
Aroma: Broad, sweet and fruity. Sharp notes of fresh red fruits, cherry, and plum emerge, blending with complex aromas of licorice, pipe tobacco, vanilla, and spices.
Taste: Full-bodied, powerful and velvety. On the palate the tannic texture is thick and soft, balanced to perfection by a pleasant acidity that gives freshness and a decidedly persistent finish.

Food pairings: Ideal with: Robust red meat (e.g. grilled Florentine, braised), Hunting and game (e.g. stewed wild boar or pappardelle with wild boar ragù), Aged cheeses.
