The Sicilian lime is a prized citrus fruit, often of the "Persian" or "Tahiti" variety, grown organically thanks to the Mediterranean climate. Characterized by a thin, smooth skin, no seeds, intense aroma and high juiciness, it is less tart than Caribbean lime. Rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, it is harvested green and is excellent for drinks, fish dishes and for making Limoncello.
