Ciaculli's Mandarino Tardivo (often called "Marzaiolo") is a unique citrus variety, grown exclusively in the hamlet of Ciaculli and Croce Verde Giardino in Palermo. It is famous for its delayed ripening, which occurs when other mandarin varieties are already out of season. 

It has a very sweet pulp, a high sugar content and an intense and persistent aroma, difficult to find in other varieties.
