The castagnole or favette are a sweet carnival spread throughout Italy; it is part of the culinary tradition of Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Lazio, Southern Umbria (with the variant called "strufoli di carnevale" in northern Umbria), Abruzzo, Veneto, Lombardy.
Ingredients:
Flour of WHEAT, sugar, water; vegetable oils and fats (sunflower and palm), aroma rum (5% on the finished product), egg yolk, CREAM, BUTTER, whole milk powder, invert sugar; corn starch, emulsifier: mono and glycerides of fatty acids, salt. Preservative: potassium sorbate, acidity corrector: citric acid, yeast agents: E500, E336. Colouring agents: E160a, E150b; natural orange flavour; flavours. Glazing (22%): sugar; vegetable fats (palm and coconut); cocoa powder (1.5% on the finished product); SKIMMED MILK powder; LACTOSE; emulsifier: SOIA lecithin; flavourings.
